Job summary

Cathay Bank—El Monte branch seeks an experienced Branch Manager to lead the team in delivering banking products and exceptional client service. You will drive loan and deposit growth, maintain compliance, and oversee daily branch operations.

Qualifications

• College degree in business or finance preferred.
• 3-5 years banking experience including 2 years branch management in a commercial bank preferred.
• Knowledge of federal/state and IRS regulations.
• Strong sales and sales management ability.
• Bilingual Mandarin or Cantonese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and be accountable for branch performance across admin, compliance, operations, sales, service and profitability.
• Make regular business development calls to solicit loans and deposits.
• Oversee staff training on product knowledge, sales and service techniques.
• Represent the bank in the community through civic and charitable activities.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures.
• Set annual branch goals and monitor performance; coordinate with marketing on sales programs.
• Hire, train, and coach staff; manage HR issues as needed.
• Oversee loan origination and client relationship management.
• Maintain branch budget and ensure satisfactory audits.
