Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Senior Blower Applications Engineer to drive complex engineered solutions for water and wastewater applications. You will lead technical strategies, engage engineers, EPCs and end users, and act as a technical authority across blower technologies and system integration.

The role requires deep industry knowledge, strong sales acumen, and collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to deliver value-based solutions and grow revenue.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in applications engineering or technical sales.
• Experience selling complex engineered systems in water & wastewater.
• Experience working with EPCs, General Contractors, and Customers in industrial and municipal markets.
• Proven success closing high-value deals in a sales environment.
• Deep knowledge of municipal and industrial treatment processes and systems.
• Hands‑on experience with multistage centrifugal blowers, rotary lobe and screw blowers, high speed turbo blowers and regenerative blowers.
• Basic understanding of controls systems (PLC/SCADA) and system integration.
• Proven track record in technical sales or applications engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy for high-value sales opportunities, defining win strategies and value propositions.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with engineers, EPCs, OEMs, and end users; influence project decisions early.
• Serve as technical authority for blower technologies and systems in water and wastewater applications.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales.
• Provide training and technical guidance to customers and internal teams.
• Support troubleshooting, optimization, and retrofit opportunities with costed proposals.
