Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer III to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems. This fully remote role provides strategic technical direction and engineering oversight for delivering high-performance, safe BESS solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years in BESS, renewables, or power systems, and strong knowledge of grid interconnection standards. PE preferred; nationwide collaboration and travel expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
3+ years of electrical engineering experience with BESS/renewables.
PE license preferred and knowledge of NEC, IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes, guiding project teams.
Lead design and engineering of battery energy storage systems per contracts and AHJ requirements.
Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and system sizing for BESS configurations.
Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Develop technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for procurement.
Oversee testing, commissioning, energization, and initial synchronization.
Travel as required to support project execution.
