Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer III to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems for utility-scale projects. You will provide strategic technical direction, guide project teams, and ensure safety, reliability, and performance across all phases.

This fully remote role requires collaboration with internal and external teams, review of studies and specifications, and mentoring of junior engineers while keeping up with evolving industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expertise in design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes and provide technical direction to project teams.
• Lead design and engineering of BESS, ensuring compliance with contracts, utilities, and AHJ requirements.
• Review feasibility studies and system sizing analyses to optimize BESS configurations.
