Job summary

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Manager 3, Business Development - Strategy & Program Development in the United States. The role leads program business development across the Air Dominance Division, managing the pipeline and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will shape comprehensive BD strategies, engage with senior government and military customers, and drive capture plans and investment decisions while ensuring compliance with defense acquisition processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years' experience or a master's with 7 years or a PhD with 4 years of experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ military experience.
• Knowledge of Department of War procurement and acquisition processes.
• Proven track record in leading and developing winning strategies and tactics.
• Experience leading and mentoring cross functional teams.
• Active USG Top Secret clearance (with recent background investigation or Continuous Vetting).
• Ability to obtain SAP access via PAR prior to employment.
• Ability to travel at least 35% (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Portfolio & Pipeline Leadership: Lead business development for the program, coordinating across teams.
• Manage and grow the opportunity pipeline through strategic customer outreach and campaigns.
• Oversee the Business Acquisition Process, including strategy development and pursuit progression.
• Engage with customers and government representatives; translate mission needs into solutions.
• Shape strategies for modernization and sustainment; lead multi-functional teams to develop discriminators.
• Build relationships with senior government and military decision-makers; represent the company.
• Promote business development best practices and mentor others.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulations; navigate defense acquisition processes.
