Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Senior BESS Engineer to serve as the technical SME for battery energy storage systems, overseeing design, analysis, and integration across electrical, civil, and HV scopes. This fully remote role offers leadership on project teams, mentorship to junior engineers, and collaboration with vendors and clients to deliver reliable storage solutions. Your expertise will shape system modeling, protection, and commissioning strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years in electrical engineering with focus on BESS / power systems.
• Experience designing and integrating BESS with grid interconnection equipment.
• PE license preferred or pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design and engineering of BESS projects.
• Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and sizing analyses.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and AHJs; oversee Engineers of Record.
• Provide technical oversight during procurement, testing, and commissioning.
