Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior BESS Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems across projects nationwide. This fully remote role emphasizes technical leadership, safety, and reliable performance.

As SME for BESS, you will guide cross-functional teams, review feasibility studies, support procurement, and mentor engineers while staying current with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expert knowledge of BESS components, control strategies, and grid interconnection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes and provide technical direction to project teams.
• Lead and manage design and engineering of battery energy storage systems for compliance and performance.
• Review feasibility studies and system sizing to optimize configurations and future augmentation.
• Coordinate with engineering scopes across electrical, civil, structural, SCADA, and HV.
• Mentor junior engineers and project teams to promote engineering excellence.
• Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
