Job summary

SouthState Bank, N.A. is seeking a Correspondent Senior Business Development Officer to own and grow relationships with community banks and drive sales of current SouthState Correspondent products and services.

You will market offerings across in-bank, telephone, and written contacts, while maintaining broad product knowledge. Responsibilities include planning visits, reporting on activities, preparing analyses for prospects, and representing SouthState at events.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Experience: Six to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Certifications/Specific Knowledge: None

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with community bank customers, driving new sales of current and existing products/services.
• Maintain working knowledge of SouthState Bank, N.A., and its affiliates.
• Facilitate relationships with bank management and division personnel to pursue opportunities and address issues.
• Plan visits to customers and prospects within a defined region; complete contact reports.
• Prepare analyses and presentations for SouthState Correspondent prospects.
• Act as a liaison at bank-sponsored and external events.
• Cultivate relationships with market influencers (CPAs, law firms, trade associations).
