Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the Hospice-focused database modernization on the AWS platform. The role involves migrating SQL Server on EC2 to AWS RDS, updating SSIS/SSRS assets, and driving cost optimization while enhancing security and compliance.

You will mentor the Hospice DBA team and collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure automation. The position emphasizes cloud-native strategies, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning to support hospice

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Deep expertise with SQL Server 2016+ performance tuning, HA, and DR.
• Hands-on with SSIS ETL and SSRS reporting.
• Experience with AWS RDS (SQL Server) and migration tooling (DMS).

Responsabilités

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to AWS RDS or upgrade off SQL Server 2016.
• Assess, migrate, and maintain SSIS SSRS assets; consider AWS-native ETL/reporting.
• Drive database cost optimization and right-sizing.
• Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on cloud database operations.
• Implement cloud monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch; plan DR using AWS Backup.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform for RDS and infrastructure automation.
• Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance across database systems.
• Support hospice application teams with database needs and roadmap planning.
• Explore PostgreSQL/Aurora options for 2027 modernization.
