Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the Hospice cloud modernization efforts and drive SQL Server on EC2 migrations, upgrades, and cost optimization. You will mentor the Hospice DBA team and collaborate with DevOps on Terraform-based automation.

You will champion HITRUST E1 compliance, oversee backup/recovery, and evaluate AWS-native ETL/reporting options to modernize SSIS/SSRS workloads for a nationwide care platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ and HA/DR.
• Hands-on with SQL Server upgrades and end-of-support migrations.
• Experience with SSIS/SSRS and AWS-native ETL tools.
• Familiarity with Datadog, CloudWatch, and SQL Server DMVs.
• Terraform for infrastructure management and cloud automation.
• Knowledge of HITRUST compliance and security controls.
• Mentoring junior DBAs or developers on database best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migrations to AWS RDS.
• Migrate or upgrade SSIS ETL and SSRS reporting workloads.
• Drive database cost optimization and right-sizing of resources.
• Mentor Hospice DBA team on AWS database operations and cloud practices.
• Implement cloud monitoring, backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform-based infrastructure automation.
