Job summary

Encore Global in Washington, DC is seeking a Technical Lead to set up and operate AV systems for hospitality environments, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth event execution. Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years in AV, strong customer service, and a valid driver’s license. This full-time role involves physical tasks and supporting diverse events across venues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2–3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 2–3+ years of audio-visual experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required for team members who may operate Company vehicles.
• External applicants must meet training and certification requirements within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet Encore’s training and certification requirements.
• Additional DOT requirements may apply.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down intermediate AV equipment accurately and timely.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
• Provide excellent service and build strong client relationships on site.
• Lead and mentor other Technicians in Encore’s service philosophy.
• Maintain proper communication with guests and hotel staff throughout events.
• Work within Encore systems and applications as needed.
