Job summary

Encore Global seeks a Technical Lead to oversee setup and operation of AV systems in a hotel/convention center environment in San Diego. You will lead on-site service, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure client satisfaction throughout events.

The role requires 2-3+ years in AV and hospitality, with strong customer service and team leadership skills. Expect irregular hours, on-site hotel work, and collaboration with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2-3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 2-3+ years of audio-visual experience required.
• External applicants must complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet internal training/certification requirements.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate company vehicles.
• Additional DOT requirements may apply.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown intermediate audiovisual equipment accurately and timely.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
• Comply with all company security and safety measures and protect equipment from theft or damage.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships on-site.
• Mentor and coach other technicians to uphold Encore’s service standards.
• Coordinate with staff and vendors for equipment and scheduling; assist with invoices as needed.
• Use Encore systems/applications as required.
