The Senior Assurance Leader will guide high-risk engagements, provide technical expertise, and oversee budgets and client deliverables, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in assurance-related work.
• Deep technical expertise in GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant financial reporting frameworks.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale and high-risk engagements from planning through delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in assurance technology platforms and data analytics tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coach multi-level teams.
• Excellent communication and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the firm’s most complex and high-risk assurance engagements.
• Serve as a technical expert in GAAP/GAAS and other standards, guiding teams and clients on complex issues.
• Develop and oversee engagement strategies aligned with client objectives and risk.
• Review and approve engagement budgets to meet financial targets.
• Drive improvement in audit methodology and use of new technologies.
• Supervise and coach managers and associates for development and retention.
• Lead performance management, career development, and succession planning.
• Review client deliverables for accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
• Act as strategic advisor to clients on audit results and decisions.
• Identify and manage engagement risks and escalate when needed.
• Cultivate trusted advisor relationships with key clients.
• Participate in firm growth through proposals and client meetings.
• Contribute to firm culture and professional development.
• Stay current with regulatory developments through learning and thought leadership.
• Manage multiple engagements with deadlines while maintaining quality.
