Sorren, Inc. is seeking a senior assurance leader to guide complex audits, provide GAAP/GAAS/SEC guidance, and mentor senior staff. The role focuses on high-risk engagements, regulatory compliance, and strategic advisory services for clients across industries.

You will lead technical discussions with regulators and boards, oversee budgets and staffing, and drive innovation in audit methodology while supporting firm growth and client success.

Qualifications

• Authoritative expertise in U.S. GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB, and SEC regulations
• Exceptional executive communication with C-suite and boards
• Proven leadership, mentoring Senior Managers and Managers to succession
• Strong risk management and quality control capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-profile, high-risk assurance engagements

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and leadership for planning, execution, and delivery of complex assurance engagements
• Lead technical guidance on accounting standards and external reporting
• Direct preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for external reporting
• Advise leadership and clients on accounting trends and regulatory changes
• Oversee engagement strategies, budgets, and staffing for profitability and quality
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators as needed
• Lead firm-wide business development and client relationship expansion
• Mentor senior managers and foster a culture of growth and accountability
• Ensure compliance with standards and effective internal controls
• Contribute to methodology enhancements and use of new tools and workflows
• Maintain thought leadership and participate in industry advocacy
• Meet annual billable hours and productivity targets
