Sorren, a top national advisory firm, seeks an experienced assurance leader to drive complex audits, reviews, and procedures across diverse industries. You will serve as a technical GAAP/GAAS expert, guiding internal teams and clients on complex accounting issues, while developing strategies and approving engagement budgets.

You will mentor managers and senior staff, foster collaboration, and ensure high-quality, compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in assurance-related work.
• CPA license is required and must be active.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Deep technical expertise in GAAP, GAAS, and related frameworks.
• Proven track record leading large-scale, high-risk engagements.
• Proficient with assurance technology platforms and data analytics.
• Ability to manage and coach multi-level teams.
• Excellent communication and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex assurance engagements across diverse industries.
• Provide GAAP/GAAS guidance to internal teams and clients.
• Develop and oversee engagement strategies and budgets.
• Review client deliverables for clarity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in audit methodology and technology use.
• Supervise and coach managers and senior staff; lead performance reviews.
