Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in the United States is seeking a Senior Associate for Merger Integration & Carve-Outs within the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. You will help manage integration programs for portfolio companies, supporting lifecycle from pre-deal assessments to Day 1 readiness.

The role emphasizes collaborating with deal teams, delivering operational improvements, and guiding governance, planning, and execution across finance, HR, and IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
• Deep functional expertise in finance & accounting operations; HR/organizational design; leadership and stakeholder involvement; communications planning and management; program management and leadership.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying key client issues and developing recommendations within the engagement context.
• Assist with workstreams within the Integration Management Office (IMO)—Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap.
• Support Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvement in key areas like strategic planning, operational optimization, back-office consolidation, and IT/reporting integration.
• Drive performance improvement assessments across an enterprise and participate in implementing recommendations.
• Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies or personnel as required.
