Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal's Private Equity Performance Improvement practice is seeking a Senior Associate to lead merger integration and carve-out work for upper middle market and large-cap PE portfolio companies. You’ll work across pre-deal to post-close phases.

The role emphasizes structured, hands-on problem solving and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, HR, IT, and Operations, with travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration and change management.
• Experience in integration planning; divestitures are a plus.
• Deep functional expertise in finance, HR or organizational design.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Initiative, adaptability, and willingness to travel 75% of the time.
• MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and developing recommendations.
• Assist with IMO workstreams—Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 readiness, roadmap, communications, and organizational design.
• Support Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvement in key areas.
• Drive performance assessments and implement recommended improvements.
• Track progress and adjust integration strategies as needed.
