Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate for Merger Integration & Carve-Outs in the Boston area. You will work across the private equity lifecycle, from Day 1 readiness to post-close execution, delivering structured approaches that create and capture value for portfolio companies.

The role requires 4–6+ years in consulting, MBA preferred, and strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. Significant travel (75%+) is expected to support clients across deals.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• MBA preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Initiative and drive; ability to travel at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and developing recommendations within the engagement context.
• Support Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvement across key areas (planning, optimization, back office, supply chain, IT/reporting integration).
• Drive performance improvement assessments and help implement recommendations.
• Track progress against objectives and adjust strategies or personnel as required.
