Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Senior Associate for Merger Integration & Carve-outs (MI&C) within the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. You will contribute to integration planning, Day 1 readiness, and post-close execution across complex deals, with travel expectations outlined by the team.

The role emphasizes broad functional expertise, leadership, and collaboration with client teams, delivering value through structured, disciplined change programs in the US market.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus, but not required.
• Deep functional expertise in finance & accounting operations, HR/organizational design, or leadership and stakeholder involvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and developing recommendations.
• Assist with workstreams or IMO focus areas like Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 Readiness, and Integration Roadmap.
• Plan and execute Day 1/Day 100 objectives, drive performance improvements across functions.
• Support Day 1 reading, governance reporting, and post-close integration efforts.
