Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Archaeologist to lead cultural resource surveys across Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia. You will conduct Phase I–III projects, support environmental permitting, and provide high-quality CRM reports.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in CRM, a strong track record in reporting, and the ability to travel up to 30% with fieldwork up to 30% as needed. Offices are in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in archaeology or related field is required.
• 8+ years of CRM experience or equivalent.
• Ability to hold Texas Antiquities Permit as Principal Investigator (required).
• Solid understanding of relevant laws (NHPA, NEPA) and standards.
• Experience leading Phase I–III surveys for linear or large projects.

Responsabilités

• Identify cultural resources to support infrastructure permitting and compliance.
• Prepare NEPA documents and environmental reports.
• Provide primary authorship and QA for CRM reports.
• Coordinate with state and federal resource agencies.
• Data management and curation after fieldwork.
• Conduct archaeological site inspections and monitoring, including deep testing.
• Support business development and client proposals.
• Curate finds and documents as required; prepare permit applications.
• Fieldwork up to 30% and overnight travel up to 30%.
