Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Archaeologist to support Phase I-III cultural resource surveys in TX and LA offices, including Austin, Dallas, Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in archaeology, anthropology, or related field; required.
• Master's degree in archaeology, anthropology, or related field; preferred.
• Must meet Secretary of the Interior standards (36 CFR Part 61); required.
• Experience as CRM principal investigator and report author.

Responsibilities

• Identify cultural resources for environmental permitting of infrastructure projects.
• Prepare NEPA documents: EA/EIS and environmental resource reports.
• Provide primary report authorship and QA of field documents.
• Coordinate with state and federal resource agencies on historic resources.
• Manage data post-field assessment and curate finds.
• Conduct site inspections and deep testing; fieldwork up to 30%.
• Travel up to 30% overnight; assist in business development.
• Prepare technical documents and environmental permit applications.
