Job summary

Accurate Background is seeking an Associate Accounts Receivable Manager to lead receivables operations in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee invoicing, collections, and customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple platforms and time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in accounts receivable, preferably SaaS/tech.
• 1+ years supervisory or management experience in AR or billing.
• Understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Experience working across cultures/time zones, esp. with India.
• Familiarity with billing in background screening industry (preferred).
• Experience with recurring revenue or usage-based billing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the accounts receivable process including invoicing and collections.
• Supervise AR specialists and supervisors across locations/time zones.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing for services (subscription and usage-based).
• Collaborate with Account Management and Customer Service to resolve disputes.
• Monitor aging reports and manage collections to minimize DSO and bad debt.
• Assist month-end close with reports, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Support audits with documentation and analysis.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Lead multiple projects across cross-functional initiatives.
