Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking the Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services to lead the US AE organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales. You will drive customer-focused technical solutions and ensure high-quality SOWs and Job Cost Estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Electrical Engineering preferred; 12+ years relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% within the US.
• 7+ years in application or field engineering in power delivery; 5+ years with customer exposure in target industries.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams.
• Experience with proposals, SOWs, job costing, and commercial operations.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing AE team with clear performance expectations.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio.
• Drive proposal excellence and improve ITO processes with Commercial Operations.
• Standardize and improve engineering processes through KPI management and training.
• Collaborate with Proposal Management, Business Development, Operations and ABB engineering teams to standardize solutions and improve cycle times.
