ABB Inc. in the United States seeks an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services to lead the U.S. AE organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales, delivering high-quality SOWs and JCEs and growing a top-tier engineering team.

This remote role partners with Proposal Management, Business Development and field teams to standardize solutions, improve proposal cycle times, and drive continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required and 12+ years relevant work experience. Candidates with Electrical Engineering degree will be preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time within US
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in application engineering or field engineering in power delivery products and systems including a minimum of 5 years of experience working with customers in oil & gas, metals, mining, paper, power generation, data center, commercial buildings or similar business segments.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams strongly preferred.
• Experience with proposal development, statement of work creation, job costing, and commercial operations processes.
• Background in field service, power systems engineering, or industrial electrical services.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team with clear performance expectations and targeted development plans.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio and strategic engagements.
• Drive proposal excellence and improve inquiry-to-order processes in collaboration with Commercial Operations.
• Standardize engineering processes and capabilities through KPI management, libraries, digital tools, and training programs.
