Job summary

Mixpanel, the leading product intelligence platform, seeks a Customer Engineer to embed within enterprise teams. You'll become a Mixpanel expert quickly and partner with Account Executives to qualify deals, deliver customised demos, and scope proofs‑of‑concept across customer organisations.

In three months you’ll lead technical qualification and work with leadership to understand business challenges and rollout analytics strategies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a SaaS Sales Engineering or related role.
• Experience in data querying, modelling, and transformation using SQL, dbt, Python, BI tools.
• Familiarity with databases and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Google Cloud, Redshift, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Excellent written, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Gemini.
• The ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for prospects, providing strategic consultation on data architecture, governance, instrumentation, and business outcomes.
• Communicate and consult effectively at all levels of the customer's organisation to earn trust and influence buying decisions.
• Bridge the technical‑business gap—define success for proofs‑of‑concept and ensure successful execution and outcomes.
• Leverage Mixpanel expertise to impart best practices throughout proof‑of‑concept projects.
• Partner with Account Executives to drive revenue growth as the key technical contact for customers.
• Collaborate with post‑sales teams to translate pre‑sales value into tangible post‑sales results.
• Develop relationships and uncover needs of key technical stakeholders within your book of business.
• Be the Voice of the Prospect by collecting feedback and sharing with Product.
