Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Analyst (L5) to own the full analytical lifecycle—from initial question to final business decision. You’ll partner with Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, Capital Markets, and Commercial teams to optimize approvals, conversions, losses, and profitability across risk, growth, and customer-facing domains.

You bring 2–5 years in analytically-driven roles, a degree in a quantitative field, and strong SQL/Python skills to translate complex data into actionable

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of analytically-driven experience in consumer lending, credit, or fintech.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Deep expertise in data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling with ML applications.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Optimize End-to-End Strategy by deriving insights and optimizing strategies across products and geographies.
• Monitor macro and market trends; adjust analytical strategies to mitigate risk and balance growth.
• Model and build capabilities with Engineering and ML teams to design performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulatory and market requirements into analytical policy and product design.
• Oversee development and launches of analytical frameworks and cross-functional discussions for new product launches and market entries.
• Engage with external stakeholders to align practices and strengthen relationships.
• Mentor junior analysts on technical craft and domain nuances.
