Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation to lead pursuit and delivery of large civil infrastructure projects in HDR's Transportation Business Group.

You will drive contract terms with HDR Legal, coordinate with Risk Committee, and align Area/Region leadership to win and execute complex AD programs. In this employee-owned culture, you will foster client relationships with public agencies, manage teams across disciplines, and travel up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Experience leading large civil infrastructure projects, traditional and Alternative Delivery.
• Proven ability to develop and manage diverse client relationships and programs.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policy and risk governance.
• Collaborate with HDR Business Group Directors on policy, resources, and terms.
• Negotiate contract terms with HDR Legal and risk input.
• Coordinate with Transportation Leadership on client discussions for upcoming projects.
• Lead recurring leadership calls to ensure matrix collaboration across regions.
• Advise leadership on commercial and technical trends in AD.
• Mentor and develop HDR staff within the matrix organization.
