Job summary

Facility Grid seeks a hands-on staff engineer to own a production AI platform built on top of its system of record. You will write code daily, directing agents to qualify changes, run production, and share context across teams.

Expect autonomy, strong ownership, and influence over reliability and cost in a distributed cloud environment. You will work with ECS Fargate, Aurora, GitOps with ArgoCD, Crossplane, and SigNoz, evaluating models and runtimes while staying model‑independent.

Qualifications

• Ownership of problems end to end, from conception to production.
• Curiosity about code and infrastructure, understanding system failures.
• Forward-looking engineering, agent-first design and tool awareness.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, networking, Linux, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Build the internal AI platform enabling qualified changes and shared context for engineers’ agents.
• Shift operations from reactive to proactive with agents that baseline the system and flag anomalies.
• Own the production platform and the path to production, including ephemeral environments for merges.
• Own reliability, cloud cost, and SOC 2 compliance with measurable results.
• Evaluate new models, runtimes, and tooling as they ship and adopt the best options.
