Job summary

Facility Grid is hiring a staff platform engineer to own and build an AI platform on top of our production system. You will work hands-on, writing code daily and guiding architecture with autonomy to decide how work gets done.

You will optimize reliability, cost, and compliance (SOC 2 today, FedRAMP in progress) while evaluating new models and runtimes; remote US-friendly, with an onshore office in MA.

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and AWS.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and ship to production.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and agent-based tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build the internal AI platform: qualifies changes, progressive rollout, shared context for engineers.
• Move operations from reactive to proactive: agents that baseline the system and flag anomalies.
• Own the production platform and the path to production, including the env for every MR.
• Own reliability, cloud cost, and compliance (SOC 2 today, FedRAMP in progress).
• Evaluate new models, runtimes, and tooling as they ship and adopt what is better.
