Job summary

Ridgeline seeks a Principal Engineer to guide the architecture and delivery of an agentic AI platform. You will shape AI workflows, data access, and model use, partnering with engineers who built the platform’s foundation, across multiple teams for broad impact.

You will drive design decisions on integration, reliability, and scalability, overseeing external data access and token-efficient AI usage in production. This role offers high autonomy and strategic influence.

Qualifications

15+ years of software engineering with deep systems-architecture expertise.
Experience shipping an AI-powered product in production with agentic loops.
Ability to design scalable architectures and evaluate AI tech choices.
Experience setting reliability/evaluation standards for AI models in production.
Full-stack AI product development with Kotlin, TypeScript, and React.

Responsibilities

Define and drive technical strategy and architecture for Ridgeline's AI platform.
Lead decisions enabling teams to use AI platform capabilities at scale.
Resolve systemic obstacles to platform availability, usability, and reliability.
Establish engineering standards for evolving AI technologies and models.
Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, and other teams to align investments with priorities.
Architect integration of external data via retrieval-augmented generation and token-efficient usage.
