Job summary

Facility Grid is seeking a senior engineer to lead the design and implementation of an agentic product suite and the AI platform underneath it. You will set direction for how agents are built, evaluated, and shipped, and you will write code daily.

There is also a legacy PHP and Angular application to modernize, which you will lead. This is a hands-on staff role with autonomy and ownership over the work you deliver.

Qualifications

• End-to-end ownership with production-ready delivery.
• Ability to read and understand unfamiliar code.
• Experience with distributed systems and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the agentic product suite from prototype to production.
• Build the AI platform: evaluation, guardrails, context management, and agent harnesses.
• Set standards for AI features: design, testing, rollout and team alignment.
• Modernize the legacy PHP/Angular layer.
• Evaluate new models and tooling; adopt what is better; stay model-independent.
