Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture, including ownership of production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• Enterprise delivery: experience delivering a shared knowledge, search, graph, or grounded-AI capability across sources.
• Hands-on technical depth: fluency with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies, strong SQL, and a general-purpose programming language.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction: own architecture, roadmap, and decision principles for knowledge, retrieval, and grounding for AI products and agents.
• Design organizational memory with a federated approach and durable interfaces.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts and boundaries AI systems need to interpret.
• Engineer trusted ingestion and patterns to bring varied sources into the platform while preserving authority and provenance.
• Build effective retrieval combining search, semantic, graph, and structured methods with trade-offs visible.
• Make evidence inspectable with citations, provenance, and evaluation hooks for trust.
• Embed policy: collaborate with security, privacy, records, and legal teams on access and retention rules.
• Prove the architecture with lighthouse implementations from prototype to production.
• Operate and improve with service objectives, observability, and quality measures.
• Build shared capability: reference components, onboarding, mentor engineers, and guide architecture decisions.
