Job summary

EY is seeking a senior architect for Challenger to shape enterprise knowledge, retrieval, and grounding for AI products. You will define the target architecture, establish durable interfaces, and ensure provenance and access controls across diverse data sources.

In this high-impact role, you will lead lighthouse implementations from prototype to production, collaborate with security and legal teams, and drive observable service quality while traveling up to 50% in a hybrid office environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture with ownership of production AI or knowledge systems.
• Experience delivering shared knowledge or grounded AI capabilities across organizations.
• Hands-on fluency with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies and strong SQL.
• Experience designing data pipelines with production controls.
• Policy-aware architecture with access, provenance, and lifecycle controls.
• Cross-functional leadership guiding complex decisions and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction and own architecture, roadmap, and decision principles for knowledge and grounding used by AI products.
• Design organizational memory with a federated approach and clear lifecycle expectations.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts and boundaries for AI interpretation.
• Engineer trusted ingestion with reusable patterns for diverse sources while preserving authority and lineage.
• Build effective retrieval combining search, semantic, graph, and structured methods with trade-off visibility.
• Make evidence inspectable with citations, provenance, quality signals, and evaluation hooks.
• Embed policy by partnering with security, privacy, records, and legal to enforce uses and deletions.
• Lead lighthouse implementations from prototype to production to prove architecture and enable scale.
• Define service objectives, observability, incident learning, and quality measures post-launch.
• Build shared capability with reference components, onboarding, and cross-functional guidance.
