Job summary

EY Challenger is seeking a senior architect to shape enterprise knowledge foundations for AI products and agents. You will own the target architecture for knowledge, retrieval and grounding capabilities while ensuring provenance, access controls and lifecycle discipline across diverse data sources.

You will lead lighthouse implementations and collaborate with security, privacy, records, and legal teams to scale these capabilities. This role involves hybrid work and up to 50% travel across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 9+ years in data/information architecture.
• Experience owning production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• Proven delivery of shared knowledge capabilities across org boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction with target architecture, roadmap and principles.
• Design a federated organizational memory with durable interfaces.
• Translate business questions into concepts and boundaries for AI systems.
• Engineer reusable ingestion patterns preserving authority and provenance.
• Build retrieval using search, semantic, graph and structured methods.
• Make evidence inspectable with citations, provenance and quality signals.
• Embed policy with security, privacy, retention and deletion controls.
• Prove architecture through lighthouse implementations from prototype to production.
• Operate with service objectives, observability and incident learning.
• Build shared capability; mentor engineers and guide architecture decisions.
