Job summary

Sony Electronics Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Planning & Intelligence Analyst to analyze, model, and report on quarterly sales targets across North America retail channels. This role blends hands-on data ownership with AI-driven process improvements and cross-team collaboration.

The candidate will lead quota analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting, using Excel, Power BI, and Power Query, while communicating results to non-technical stakeholders. On-site Tue–Thu at Rancho Bernardo, CA.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, data analysis, or a related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling
• Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in Power BI and Power Query
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
• Versed in results‑driven dashboard reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data and methodology to non‑technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Available to work on‑site Tuesday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Rancho Bernardo office

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, modeling, and reporting that support the quarterly sales quota process and overall business performance measurement for an expansive retail network
• Support additional KPI tracking and reporting as needed
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales team inquiries related to targets and quota methodology
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline data collection, sharing, and consumption, with an emphasis on AI-driven tools and automation
• Act as a go‑to resource for colleagues on analytical reporting tools and processes
• Support testing, validation, and deployment activities for new technology implemented by Sony's systems integration teams
• Be a confident communicator capable of conducting training sessions for colleagues at all levels
• Maintain, enhance, and build reporting source files
• Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by leadership or cross‑functional partners
• Serve as backup to the team's Lead
• Prepare for and participate in Weekly Management meetings
