Job summary

Sony Electronics Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Sales Planning & Intelligence Analyst to support quarterly quota processes for the Customer Engagement Team across North America.

You will own data analyses, KPI reporting, and AI-driven process improvements for scalable decision-making. The role requires 3+ years in business analysis or sales operations, expert Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and on-site availability Tue–Thu 8:00–17:00 at Rancho Bernardo.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, data analysis, or a related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling.
• Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in Power BI and Power Query.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Versed in results-driven dashboard reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data and methodology to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Rancho Bernardo office.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, modeling, and reporting that support the quarterly sales quota process and overall business performance measurement for an expansive retail network.
• Support additional KPI tracking and reporting as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales team inquiries related to targets and quota methodology.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline data collection, sharing, and consumption, with an emphasis on AI-driven tools and automation.
• Act as a go-to resource for colleagues on analytical reporting tools and processes.
• Support testing, validation, and deployment activities for new technology implemented by Sony’s systems integration teams.
• Be a confident communicator capable of conducting training sessions for colleagues at all levels.
• Maintain, enhance, and build reporting source files.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by leadership or cross-functional partners.
• Serve as backup to the team’s Lead.
• Prepare for and participate in Weekly Management meetings.
