Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Customer Engineer in California to own the technical relationship from discovery through adoption and expansion. You will drive architecture design, deliver compelling demonstrations, and guide customers with a trusted, advisory stance across Security, Networking, and Developer Platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering.
• Broad technical knowledge spanning web security, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Commercial mindset with quota-carrying or revenue-aligned experience.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical Validation: Lead technical discovery, build bespoke architectures, and deliver demos/PoCs.
• Customer Adoption & Value Realization: Oversee onboarding, health, risk, and expansion strategy with Account Executives.
• Commercial Accountability & Expansion: Maintain quota tied to new business and account growth; lead quarterly business reviews.
• Trusted Advisory: Maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders from onboarding to renewal and expansion.
• AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: Leverage AI agents to automate routine tasks and focus on advisory.
