Job summary

Samsara Inc. is hiring for a senior role on the Marketing Data and Analytics Engineering team in the United States.

You will architect data pipelines, Databricks layers, and semantic models that power segmentation, targeting, automation, and analytics. You will design data dictionaries, enable self-serve BI, and translate marketing questions into scalable solutions, working autonomously and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering with deep hands-on data engineering.
• Expert-level Python and SQL, with strong data modeling.
• Deep experience with data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, and the modern data stack (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Experience building semantic layers and structured documentation optimized for AI ingestion and agentic workflows.
• Experience building, shipping, evaluating, and monitoring LLM or agent systems in production.
• Track record of leading complex, cross-team data initiatives and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience supporting Marketing, Sales, or Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for MDA's data and AI foundation.
• Architect and own Samsara's marketing data infrastructure: ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks Gold Layer tables, and core data models.
• Design semantic layers, data dictionaries, and structured documentation for self-serve BI.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into scalable data solutions with autonomous execution.
• Lead cross-team data initiatives end to end and manage risk across interdependent teams.
• Mentor engineers and analysts and raise engineering quality and code review standards.
• Drive AI to solve high-impact problems with reliable AI-enabled data products and agents.
• Automate manual workflows with AI across Marketing and GTM teams.
