Job summary

Samsara is seeking an experienced data/AI-focused engineer to shape and implement the Marketing Data and Analytics (MDA) data foundation. You will architect Databricks pipelines, Gold Layer tables, and semantic models, turning ambitious business challenges into high-value data products and AI-enabled solutions.

You will partner with BI and Data Science to deliver trusted insights. You will lead cross-team initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive AI-driven automation across Marketing and GTM.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python and SQL required.
• Hands-on DBT and Databricks experience.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and modern data stack.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and roadmap for MDA's data/AI foundation.
• Architect and own data infrastructure including pipelines and semantic models.
• Design semantic layers, data dictionaries, and AI-ready documentation.
• Translate business questions into scalable data solutions.
• Lead cross-team data initiatives end-to-end and ensure data quality.
• Mentor engineers and analysts; review AI-generated outputs.
