Samsara Inc. in the United States seeks a senior data/AI engineer to shape the marketing data and analytics foundation. You will architect Databricks pipelines, Gold Layer tables, and semantic models to turn ambiguous business questions into scalable data products and autonomous agents.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product, lead cross-team initiatives, and mentor engineers while driving AI-enabled solutions with reliable data pipelines and governance.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering.
• Expert-level Python and SQL, with strong hands-on data modeling and DBT experience.
• Deep experience with data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, and the modern data stack, including hands-on Databricks (or similar).
• Experience building semantic layers and structured documentation optimized for AI ingestion and agentic workflows.
• Agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) are part of your regular workflow, and you verify and take ownership of AI-generated output.
• Experience building, shipping, evaluating, and monitoring LLM or agent systems in production.
• Track record of leading complex, cross-team data initiatives, including independent requirements gathering with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting Marketing, Sales, or Product teams.

Responsabilidades

• Define strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for MDA's data and AI foundation.
• Architect and own Samsara's marketing data infrastructure: ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks Gold Layer tables, and core data models.
• Design semantic layers, data dictionaries, and documentation for self-serve BI and AI ingestion.
• Translate business questions into scalable data solutions and influence decisions with data.
• Lead cross-team initiatives: stand up data pipelines, manage risk, ensure data quality.
• Mentor engineers and analysts, raise engineering quality and code review standards.
• Drive AI-enabled data products and agents with reliable retrieval pipelines and evaluation practices.
• Identify and automate AI-driven workflows across Marketing and GTM teams.
