Job summary

Samsara is seeking an experienced Data/AI Engineer for the Marketing Data and Analytics (MDA) Engineering team. You will architect core Databricks pipelines, Gold Layer tables, and semantic models to power segmentation, targeting, automation, and analytics across marketing and sales.

You will translate ambiguous business questions into scalable data products, mentor engineers, lead cross-team initiatives, and drive the strategic use of AI to solve high-impact problems with trusted data.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering.
• Expert-level Python and SQL with data modeling.
• Experience with modern data stack and data warehouse architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and roadmap for MDA's data/AI foundation.
• Architect and own data infrastructure: ETL/ELT, Databricks Gold Layer, core data models.
• Lead cross-team initiatives and mentor engineers and analysts.
