Job summary

Samsara is seeking a senior data/AI engineer to shape the data and analytics foundations for Marketing Data & Analytics. You will architect core pipelines, build Databricks Gold Layer tables, and define semantic models powering segmentation, automation, and analytics.

You'll translate business questions into scalable data products, mentor engineers, and drive AI-enabled data solutions while maintaining data quality and reliability across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering.
• Expert-level Python and SQL with strong data modeling and DBT experience.
• Experience with data warehouse and lakehouse architectures and the modern data stack.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for MDA's data and AI foundation.
• Architect and own marketing data infrastructure: ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks Gold Layer tables, and data models.
• Design semantic layers, data dictionaries, and AI-friendly documentation for self-serve BI.
