Job summary

DigitalOcean seeks a Senior Account Executive to drive growth with startups fueling AI innovation. You will embed in the Bay Area AI ecosystem, owning key accounts, advocating for customers, and collaborating across teams to remove roadblocks and ensure success.

You’ll build relationships with AI startups, founders, and accelerators, translate feedback into product insights, and grow revenue through expansion opportunities. This remote role offers a competitive base with strong bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as an account executive or account manager for a technical product
• Cloud Infrastructure and AI experience required
• Self-starter, timely, and able to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Proven track record in onboarding and customer success pipelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication, proactive follow-up and account management
• Relationship management experience and ability to collect and communicate customer feedback
• Network of AI startups, founders and accelerators

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in the Bay Area AI ecosystem to identify, engage, and win the most promising AI startups
• Own the relationship with high potential accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for their business and technical needs
• Advocate for customers internally, removing roadblocks with support and engineering
• Drive account growth by maintaining meaningful contact and identifying new opportunities
• Manage and negotiate contract renewals, communicating the value of new features to drive expansion and upsell opportunities
• Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
• Translate customer feedback from the Bay Area AI community into clear insights for Product and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap
