Job summary

Decagon, the leading conversational AI platform, is hiring an Agent Deployment Engineer to drive end-to-end AI agent builds for strategic customers. You will own the implementation work needed to launch and scale enterprise-grade agents, partnering with customers and internal teams to define success, translate requirements into build plans, and deliver agents that impact the customer’s business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical customer-facing role (solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, implementation engineering, etc.).
• Native or business-level fluency in English and French is required.
• Strong technical foundation: comfortable writing code, working with APIs, and building/validating integrations end-to-end.
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior technical stakeholders, translate requirements into implementation plans, and drive delivery.
• Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you shape solutions as much as you implement them.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers, from design through deployment.
• Design and engineer the core agentic logic governing agent behavior for reliability and correctness.
• Engineer and validate guardrails and supervisory controls for safe agent performance.
• Architect, build, and test integrations with customer systems (data pipelines, CRMs, ticketing systems).
• Interface with senior technical stakeholders to define success criteria and drive delivery.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve failures through root-cause analysis.
• Design evaluation and regression-testing frameworks for agent behavior.
• Translate customer needs into internal docs and drive platform improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver repeatable agent builds.
