Job summary

Decagon is seeking an Agent Deployment Engineer to lead end-to-end AI agent builds for enterprise customers. You will own design, implementation, evaluation, and production deployment, partnering with customers and internal teams to define success and deliver high-quality agents.

You will work with Agent PMs, Engineering, and GTM to create tight feedback loops, scale deployments, and ensure safe, compliant operation across real-world scenarios.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role such as solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or technical consulting.
• Fluency in English and German (written and spoken) is required.
• Strong technical foundation: writing code, working with APIs, building and validating end-to-end integrations.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical stakeholders and drive delivery.
• Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you shape solutions as you implement them.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers from design through production deployment.
• Design core agent logic and ensure quality, reliability, and correct behavior of non-deterministic outputs.
• Build guardrails and supervisory controls for safe, compliant agent performance in real-world scenarios.
• Integrate with customer systems (data pipelines, CRM, ticketing) and create reliable deployment tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define success criteria and drive platform improvements.
• Diagnose and debug failures via root-cause analysis of traces and logs.
• Translate customer needs into internal docs and iterate with Engineering.
