Job summary

Decagon, a leader in conversational AI, is hiring an Agent Deployment Engineer to own end-to-end AI agent builds for strategic customers. You will define success criteria, translate requirements into build plans, and deliver enterprise-quality agents that impact customer business outcomes.

You will collaborate with Agent PMs, Success, Eng, and GTM teams to surface gaps, implement solutions, and evolve Decagon's agent-building platform with real-customer insight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical customer-facing role or similar.
• Strong technical foundation: able to write code, work with APIs, build/integrate end-to-end.
• Clear communication with senior technical stakeholders; translate requirements into plans.
• Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you shape solutions as you implement them.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers, from design through deployment.
• Design and engineer core agentic logic for reliable, correct behavior across non-deterministic outputs.
• Engineer and validate guardrails and supervisory controls for safe, compliant agent performance.
• Architect and test integrations with customer systems (data pipelines, CRMs, ticketing).
• Interface with senior stakeholders to define success criteria and system requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve failures via root-cause analysis of traces and logs.
• Design evaluation and regression-testing frameworks for agent behavior.
• Translate customer needs into internal docs and drive platform improvements with Eng.
• Collaborate with PMs, Eng, Design, and GTM to deliver repeatable, best-in-class builds.
