Job summary

Decagon is hiring an Agent Deployment Engineer to own end-to-end AI agent builds for strategic customers. You will define success, translate requirements into build plans, and deliver agents that impact the customer’s business.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable deployments and strong customer outcomes. The role emphasizes hands-on execution with senior technical stakeholders, in a fast-moving environment, balancing delivery with thoughtful design and robust

Qualifications

• Have 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical customer-facing role.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Strong technical foundation: writing code, working with APIs, end-to-end integrations.
• Experience delivering production-grade customer solutions with structured execution.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical stakeholders and translate requirements.
• Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you shape solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers.
• Design and engineer core agentic logic for reliable, correct behavior.
• Engineer guardrails and supervisory controls for safe agent deployments.
• Architect and test integrations with customer systems (CRMs, data pipelines).
• Interface with senior customers to define success criteria and requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve failures via root-cause analysis of traces and logs.
• Design evaluation frameworks to validate agent behavior against ground truth.
• Translate customer needs into internal docs and drive platform improvements.
