Job summary

AV is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to oversee bid, capture and negotiation processes for aerospace projects in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You will coordinate with legal, finance, procurement and engineering to streamline contract workflows and mitigate risks.

The role emphasizes lifecycle management, compliance with FAR/DFAR and complex multi-year agreements, including audits and program support. A robust background in contract drafting and negotiation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 8–10 years’ aerospace/defense/government contracting experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret preferred).
• FAR/DFAR knowledge and government contracting regulations experience.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and risk-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Bid and proposal preparation, contract negotiation, review and administration for new and sustaining products/services.
• Manage contract lifecycle including modifications, post-award negotiations, close-outs, and program support.
• Draft and negotiate NDAs, Sales/Purchase Agreements, subcontracts, licenses and master agreements.
• Ensure agreements comply with regulations and company policies.
• Analyze contractual obligations and performance for internal stakeholders; assess modifications and risks.
• Coordinate flow-downs of terms with program management, engineering, finance, quality and supply chain.
• Liaise with DCMA and external audit bodies; may lead audits.
• Maintain accurate contract files; manage data in systems and generate reports.
• Lead status reviews and maintain contract documentation and validation.
