Job summary

AV is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead complex aerospace contracting initiatives in Germantown, MD. You will partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement and Engineering to streamline workflows, mitigate risks and ensure compliant performance across multi-year programs.

The role covers bid and proposal development, negotiations, and contract administration, including modifications, terminations and closeouts, with a focus on DoD/Federal prime contracts and OTA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required or equivalent
• 8–10 years' aerospace/defense/government contracting experience
• Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret preferred)
• FAR/DFAR knowledge and OTA knowledge, understanding US Government contracting laws

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations, Contracts leaders and other functions on bid and proposal preparation, contract negotiation, review and administration for products and services
• Manage lifecycle of contracts including negotiations, modifications, close-outs and program support for long-term contracts
• Draft, evaluate and negotiate various agreements (NDA, Sales/Purchase, Subcontracts, Consulting, License, Master, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
• Monitor contract performance, summarize obligations, and assess impact of changes for management
• Coordinate flow-downs of terms with program management, engineering, finance, quality, supply chain and manufacturing
• Liaise with DCMA and other audit agencies; may lead internal/external audits
• Maintain accurate contract files and data in systems; prepare reports and status reviews
• Other duties as assigned
