Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Contracts Manager to manage bid and contract activities for complex aerospace projects.

You will partner with legal, finance, procurement, and engineering to streamline workflows, evaluate performance, and support amendments throughout the contract lifecycle. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating various agreements, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFAR and regulations, and coordinating term flow-downs across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
• 6-8 years' experience in aerospace/defense/government contracting
• Presently hold a Secret level Security Clearance (Top Secret preferred)
• Knowledge of Federal and International regulations and relevant legal concepts
• Experience with FAR/DFAR and government contract administration/management
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations, Contracts, Sales, Strategy/Marketing, Finance, and Legal on bid, contract negotiation, review and administration for products and services.
• Manage contract lifecycle including proposal review, pre/post award negotiations, modifications, close-outs, and program support for multi-year contracts.
• Draft, evaluate, negotiate NDAs, Sales/Purchase Agreements, Subcontracts, Licensing and Master Agreements, including FAR-based contracts and OTAs.
• Ensure terms comply with regulations and company policies; identify unfavorable clauses and propose revisions.
• Coordinate flow-downs of terms with program management, engineering, finance, quality, supply chain, manufacturing.
• Liaise with DCMA and audit agencies; may be primary contact for audits.
• Maintain accurate contract files, communications, changes, amendments and data in systems and prepare reports.
